Work through these checks in order
Compare system requirements
Use the official Windows and Mac requirements. Unsupported hardware cannot be fixed with a settings trick.
Restart the platform and device
Fully exit Steam, restart the computer and launch again before changing files.
Verify Steam files
Steam Library → right-click Moonlight Peaks → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
Update the graphics driver
Use the GPU manufacturer’s official updater. Do not download “driver fix” utilities from advertisements.
Remove temporary conflicts
Close overlays, remapping tools and unofficial mods for one clean test. Reconnect only one controller.
Prepare a support report
Record OS version, CPU, RAM, GPU, storefront, controller model, exact error text and whether verification changed any files.
Do not delete user folders, registry entries or cloud saves as an early troubleshooting step.
Official support route
Use the publisher’s support form and choose support for titles. A detailed report is more useful than “it does not work.”
Common questions
Should I reinstall Moonlight Peaks first?
No. Restart and verify installed files before a full reinstall.
Will verifying files delete my save?
Steam file verification checks installed game files. Still finish the night and let Steam Cloud sync before troubleshooting.
Where do I report a Moonlight Peaks bug?
Use the official Marvelous USA / XSEED support form with hardware, platform and exact reproduction details.
