Do this in order
- Step 1
Progress the late story until lunar travel becomes available.
- Step 2
Complete every prerequisite attached to the travel device or quest marker.
- Step 3
Use the travel interaction and fully load into the moon area; unlocking the option without traveling does not count.

Unlock the required tool, form or region first. Carry food and leave inventory space so a successful catch or collectible is actually recorded.
